I looked up, I couldn't believe my eyes.
The Apartment is an ongoing photographic series and performance that documents glimpses into the domestic rituals of the inner self. Whether an ego or a shadow, benevolent or not, conscious or subconscious, the inner self in The Apartment is materialized into flesh in the form of a masked character who is themself a contradiction of youth and old age, of beauty and ugliness. This inner self exists —moved by pure feeling and inner logic— acting out secret rites in their titular residence which in itself acts as a stand-in for the cramped, mundane space inside of the cranium.
The apartment has been compiled and can now be experienced in a book format.
